PS-Ben, do you have a link to a test like the one you took? I want to know how angry I am…I am studying for finals and do not think I would fail a psycological test.

How nice that Ben publicly displays his low score (one point!)on “cooperation”. Can I get a little sympathy? Anyone?

Mel,
you have my unbridled sympathy! Maybe we should get our husbands together for a playdate. And our kids could come along too, I guess.

A few more comments on your musical choises.
First – for the “man” segment, you should have used this song, because it is much more manly:
http://www.imeem.com/jukeboxmusic26/music/LerpPyGu/black-strobe-im-a-man/
Also, the song Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want This Time was indeed covered by The Dream Academy (the folks who did the Life in a Northern Town song that is rightfully awesome) but the song was originally performed by The Smiths. The Smiths version was featured in Pretty In Pink, which I could go on about at length, but won’t. I do have to give you some “props” for inserting Muse’s cover.

I thought the Smiths version was in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, when they were at the museum. I don’t remember it being in Pretty In Pink but I could be way wrong.

About 2/3 of the way through, when Duckie is sitting alone in his room, rather morose. Yeah, it was in Ferris Bueler’s Day Off as well, but it didn’t stick out as much as in Pretty in Pink.

Yeah, it was most definitely an instrumental of the Dream Academy version in “Ferris Bueller.” I’m not sure about your other movie, because I have a standing rule to not see movies with either the word “pink” or “pretty” in the title.
Also, that song, however manly it may or may not be, is not better than the title track to “Orgazmo.” There are no better lyrics than: “What makes a man? Is it the woman in his arms, just cuz she has big titties? Or is it the way he fights everyday? No, it’s probably the titties.”

FYI: It’s Lopes, not Lopez… and anyone who burns down Andre Rison’s house deserves to win the smoking poll.
I mean seriously, Karen just stopped eating, all Aaliyah did was board a plane, and yes Selena was killed by a deranged fan but so was Lennon.
Aaron

Did you just compare Selena to John Lennon?
Ryan

Let’s break this down Dr. Jack style:
Foreigner who becomes a big hit in the United States through music. Lennon: check, Selena: check.
Killed by a deranged fan. Lennon: check, Selena: check.
Foreigner who was killed on US soil. Lennon: check, Selena: check.
Had their death’s reported on live TV. Lennon: check, Selena: check.
Had major motion pictures made about their life and death. Lennon: check, Selena: check.
Really, as far as I can tell, Selena was the female mexican version of John Lennon, other than that it is plainly obvious their lives were virtually identical.

I was living in Austin when Selena was killed and all the Mexicans wrote SELENA FOREVER on their cars in shoe polish. Can John Lennon say people did that for him?

so, i’m a little behind this week. but just to let you know, i took the personality test, too. some interesting findings:
self discipline= 0 (!!!)
self-efficacy= 67
so, apparently i know i can do it (whatever “it” is..), i just don’t.
also, i got a 96 for the entire neuroticism category.. uh…
i’m a lazy crazy person. shiiiiit.

Neuroticism was my highest too- I comfort myself with the fact that it sort of sounds like “eroticism”.

My cooperation was 1 as well…apparantly, I’m a bitch and “cautiousness” (Thinking before acting) was a big 0….
