It’s that magical time of year again: shoppers are getting trampled to death, suicides are up, Christmas trees are catching fire & burning homes to the ground, and deez Grapes are betting on who’s going to die in 2010!

For those unfamiliar with a Celebrity Death Pool, here’s how this one works: you select 13 famous people (art, sports, science, politics, etc.) – 10 active, 3 benched – and if any of your active players suddenly becomes “inactive,” you get points!

UPDATE: A few people have asked whether they should wait to submit their picks. Get them in ASAP! In case you’re worried about a player going early, here’s a snippit from the Rules:

…If you submit someone who ends up dying before 1/1/10, you will not be awarded points, but will be given the opportunity to replace their spot in your lineup.
