After somebody on Twitter quoted a recent episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I was reminded that a few years ago, I, like Sweet Dee, was cast an extra in an M. Night Shyamalan film. Which movie? The good one? Sadly, no. It was Lady in the Water.

Some things that were cool:
- Paul Giamatti is super nice, and his stand-in Chris hung out with all us extras & told awesome stories.
- One of the extras could do any voice Trey Parker does PERFECTLY. It was amazing.
- Bryce Dallas Howard wears a perfume that is the best smell I’ve ever smelled.

Some things that were lame:
- I was in a party scene, & they filled all the beer bottles with nasty, old, warm O’Douls. Occasionally I would forget this fact, and, as I am not accustomed to holding full bottles of beer, would mistakenly take a swig with no alternative but to swallow the rancid brew with a smile on my face. That’s what she said.
- A band plays the party, and they had to sync with a pre-recorded tape that, over 2-3 days of shooting, was stopped & started roughly 41,982,303 times.
- The movie ended up blowing goats.
